Job Description
The Public Health Department of the Siegen-Wittgenstein district is seeking a Specialist Physician in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy for a permanent full-time or part-time position.
The role includes advising and supporting individuals with mental disorders, psychological disabilities, or addiction issues, as well as their families. Close cooperation with regional healthcare institutions is required to improve follow-up care after inpatient treatments.
Responsibilities also include preparing medical assessments, providing expert opinions in accordance with psychiatric legislation (PsychKG NRW), and working collaboratively with emergency services, police, and youth welfare services.
Requirements

Medical degree with German medical license (Approbation)

Board certification in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy

At least one year of professional experience in psychiatric care

Knowledge of social psychiatry and relevant legal frameworks (e.g., PsychKG, BGB)

Driving license (Class B)

Independent working style and strong decision-making ability

Excellent German language skills (spoken and written)
